Spain Tour Day 1

Our adventure in Spain began at 6:30 this morning when we flew into Madrid Airport. We then readied ourselves for a scenic bus ride to Bilbao which would last the next 6 hours. Snow capped mountains, jagged rock structures, and rolling green hills were all a part of the views to which we were treated as we journeyed to Bilbao.

Once we arrived at our hotel, we treated ourselves to well-earned showers and a quick doze before touring the city in the afternoon. We then returned to the hotel for an all-team meeting to go over the nuts and bolts of the next few days. Then, the hungriest among us grabbed tapas (in this area, called pintxos), while some brave souls waited for restaurants to open for a fuller meal during the typical Spanish dinnertime, between 8 and 10 pm. We ended up doing both: eating tapas and enjoying a light night time meal. It’s certainly going to be an early night for us, as we are still exhausted from travel and are also looking forward to our concert tomorrow, as well as exploring this beautiful city more.
